Insignia Photo Frame Trojan
02/18/2008

Insignia picture frames purchased from Best Buy, Sams Club, Target and Costco to name a few have been infected with a trojan named 'Mocmex'.

It's unclear if Anti-Virus software applications have been updated to detect and clean this trojan from infected computers at this time.  Apparently, this trojan is targeting only gaming passwords, but could be much, much worse and may potentially just be a 'test bed' for something worse in the future.

Specifically the picture frame is the 10.4" model.

Windows Updates
05/03/2008

It is very important to have your Windows Updates enabled, and set to automatically update. Virus software authors will often reverse-engineer Microsoft patches to create new viruses that exploit the very problem Microsoft just fixed! They take advantage of the delay between Microsoft providing the update, and the time you actually update. These viruses are known as "zero day" exploits.

Don't become another statistic! Keep your Windows updated!
